Job Description
As a Helicopter Mechanic, you will utilize test equipment for track and balance, apply the theory of rotor system tracking and balancing, and interpret Airworthiness Directives and Alert Service Bulletins for helicopter applications. You will use measuring instruments such as dial calipers, micrometers, and tensiometers for precise adjustments, and troubleshoot engine parameters. Your role will involve using common hand tools for torque application and maintaining detailed records of repairs in accordance with repair station guidelines. You will also ensure aircraft safety as per FAA or applicable regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities
Inspect and repair aircraft following FAA or applicable safety guidelines.
Perform routine maintenance checks and diagnostic tests to identify hydraulic and mechanical issues.
Read and interpret maintenance blueprints, manuals, and documents for troubleshooting.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance operations.
Complete tasks within allotted time frames according to FAA standards.
Collaborate with mechanics and engineers to ensure smooth aircraft operations.
Essential Skills
A&P License
Helicopter maintenance experience
Inspection and repair proficiency
Aircraft and airframe knowledge
Turbine engine troubleshooting
Heavy maintenance expertise
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years experience as a helicopter mechanic
2 years experience on designated helicopters such as Airbus, Agusta, Bell, MD, and Sikorsky
Blueprint reading, geometry, and trigonometry knowledge

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $45.00/hr.
