Accountant / Tax Consultant - Our client seeks an experienced CPA with strong tax expertise in their Des Moines, IA office.

This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity where you will earn up to $125,000 based on your experience. You will work Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm in a hybrid schedule with potential overtime at tax season. Plus enjoy an excellent benefits package!

Some of your responsibilities as Accountant / Tax Consultant will include working with clients and advisors to develop the best tax strategy as well as:

• Communicating with clients to ensure timely collection of information
• Preparing tax estimates and returns
• Serving as the tax subject matter expert
• Assisting with ongoing accounting services
• Scheduling review cycle of tax preparation and estimates
• Coordinating with IT resources to maintain and improve tax software
• SME for the advisors
• Other duties as assigned

To qualify for the Accountant / Tax Consultant, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field. As well as:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance or related field
• 5+ years of personal and business tax preparation
• Tax expertise
• Vision to grow the division
• Knowledge of being the SME for Business Returns and Investments
• Strong financial and analytical skills
• Valid CPA is a MUST
• Enrolled Agent a plus
• Knowledge of the Financial Services industry
• Understanding of investments
• Understanding of financial planning strategies
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Time management skills
• Relationship building skills
