Certification Requirements: RID Certification and/or minimum 4.0 EIPA score
Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (based on student needs and interpreter availability)

Job Description:
We are seeking two qualified and experienced American Sign Language Interpreters to support two deaf students (preschool and elementary), who are siblings, in the general education setting. These positions will play a key role in promoting access, inclusion, and communication throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret spoken language into ASL and vice versa to facilitate communication between students, peers, and staff
Support the generalization of vocabulary and language concepts across environments
Collaborate with the general education team to reinforce strategies introduced by the Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH)
Serve as a communication liaison during instructional and social interactions
Act as a tutor when appropriate, as outlined in the students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Provide feedback and input during IEP meetings when necessary
Prepare progress reports and documentation in accordance with district procedures
Qualifications:
Valid RID Certification or a minimum score of 4.0 on the EIPA
Prior experience working with preschool and/or elementary-aged students preferred
Strong ASL proficiency and knowledge of interpreting in educational settings
Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and related service providers
Understanding of Deaf culture and the unique needs of deaf and hard of hearing students
