The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities. Responsibilities include partnering with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements; resolving a variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards; providing expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensuring application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint; utilizing advanced knowledge of system flow and developing standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation; developing comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals; providing in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions; serving as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary; appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Qualifications include 10+ years of programming experience in Java/JEE, Spring and Kafka; experience with Enterprise Application Development using Java, Spring Hibernate; hands on experience with Kafka; proficiency in creating and debugging complex SQL queries for data analysis and troubleshooting; fair understanding on Openshift cloud; experience in developing and optimizing Java application with high performance throughput; effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand; preferred language is English; experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications; experience in managing and implementing successful projects; working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods; ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements. Preferred qualifications include experience mentoring and providing technical leadership for teams of 5 or more developers; exposure to Cloud infrastructure both on-premise and public cloud (i.e., OpenShift, AWS, etc.); exposure to event-driven design and architecture (i.e., Kafka, Spark Flink, etc.); exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (i.e., Terraform, Cloudformation, etc.); exposure to Quality as Code Implementation (i.e. TDD, BDD, Unit Testing, Selenium); exposure to Security, Observability, and Monitoring tools (i.e., Grafana Prometheus, Splunk, ELK, CloudWatch, etc.); exposure to database concepts (RDBMS, NoSQL) and web-based technologies (Angular/React) is a plus; exposure to API Management tools.
