The Apparel Assistant Designer will support the Design Team in all phases of the design process. Responsibilities Work closely with design team members and assist in seasonal collection set-up Create and revise tech packs as requested by supervisor or manager Gather and compile garment measurements, construction details, and trim/fabric information needed for proto development Sketch into groups as needed by design team Organize and maintain fabric, trim, and sample libraries for easy access and reference Research trends and bring in new ideas through competitive shopping, magazines, websites, and runway shows Qualifications Must have a Bachelor's or Associates degree in Fashion Apparel Design Must have 1-2 years of Fashion Design experience Must have ability to sketch with Illustrator Must be proficient in Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, excel and Word Must have strong interest in fashion design, commercial color sense, pattern merchandising ability, and general market knowledge Basic garment construction knowledge required Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently Must be a team player, open to taking direction, and able to work well under pressure Why we think you'll love it here... ADDITIONAL DATA:

The salary for this position is $22 - $25/hourly. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to position offered and work experience. In addition to your salary, Forever 21, and its affiliated brands, offers a benefits package, including 401(k) plan, overtime pay, flexible work schedule and a generous employee discount program (all benefits are based on eligibility).
