Position Summary : Mud Pie is seeking an Assistant Designer to join our Women's division. We are searching for apparel designers with an emphasis in accessories. This position will report to the Director of Design. Candidates should have 1-3 years of previous or relevant experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Trending and market analyzation (includes current consumer and competitor research) Flat sketches and print/pattern design Graphic Design Experience in gift/hard goods design Sourcing fabrics and trims Collaborate with the Women's Design team in design of biannual collections Execution of designs with overseas vendors through an outlined sampling and development process Collaboration with Technical Design Team in creation of apparel tech packs Responsible for creation of full accessory tech packs (i.e. handbags, hats, jewelry, etc.) Maintain and manage samples Approvals for all design and production submits Support development team and sales team by preparing necessary visual tools Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design, Graphic Design or related field 1 - 3 years in a fashion design and/or graphic design role Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Suite Strong organization and leadership skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to maintain and build relationships with overseas vendors High level of creativity paired with strong understanding of the Mud Pie aesthetic Understanding of entire design and product development process Be able to work on deadlines and juggle multiple projects at once Ability to understand current fashion market and future consumer trends Organization with a dedication to details and final product quality Flexibility and a positive attitude under pressure Strong written and verbal presentation skills Mud Pie
