Associate Pastor Position At Torrance First Baptist Church

Kingdom One is partnered with Torrance First Baptist Church that is located in Torrance, CA. This church is looking to grow their team by adding a full time Associate Pastor! This position is required to be in office at least two days per week, but will have the option of remote work on other days.

The Associate Pastor at Torrance First Baptist will be an integral part of the pastoral staff providing overall vision, leadership, and shepherding alongside the other pastors and ministry staff. Their primary areas of responsibility will include overseeing Jr. and Sr. High youth, leading the contemporary music for our Sunday morning service and other "all-church" events, and supporting our Outreach ministry.

We're looking for someone who:

• Provide overall leadership for Jr High/Sr High Ministries, which includes weekly Youth Group, Sunday Life Group, and various monthly events.
• Lead contemporary worship for our morning service and various "all-church" events in coordination with the Lead Pastor.
• Assist Lead Pastor in keeping web page and social media platforms current for the Outreach Ministry.
• Work with our Local Outreach Team to provide opportunities for TFB to serve our community.
• Preach on occasion during Sunday service.
• Participate in Church Staff Meetings, and attend/assist with "all-church" events.
• Assist with all-church visuals/graphics.
• Attend and assist the Lead Pastor with various responsibilities during morning worship service.
• Recruit and train volunteers as needed.
• Lead weekly practices with the Praise Team members.
• Develop a team of and schedule for our praise team members.
• Develop aspiring musicians and vocalists.

Our ideal candidate:

• Has a love for God, and a vibrant and consistent relationship with Christ.
• Has a love for the church body in general and for students. Will connect students to the life of the church.
• Has a humble/teacher attitude with the desire to minister with a team.
• Is at least a college graduate with a 4-year bachelor's degree. Seminary grad or enrolled highly preferred.
• Has experience working with youth and leading worship in a church context.
• Has leadership skills, teaching ability, and musical skills required (able to lead worship from piano/guitar).

Salary Range: $68,000-$70,000

Position Type: Full-time, Hybrid (minimum 2 days in office)
