DHA Overview

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a joint, integrated Combat Support Agency that enables the Army, Navy, and Air Force medical services to provide a medically ready force and a ready medical force to Combatant Commands during peacetime and wartime. Established to enhance the delivery of integrated, affordable, and high-quality health services, the DHA supports Military Health System (MHS) beneficiaries and drives the integration of clinical and business processes across the MHS. The agency plays a pivotal role in ensuring military personnel and their families receive comprehensive healthcare, thus maintaining operational readiness and overall force health protection.

Position Overview

Pantheon Data is seeking a Business Analyst with a background in data-centric product development who is technically proficient and eager to learn. A successful candidate should have a history of documenting, analyzing, and understanding business processes and requirements for solutions that support innovation, data science and full-stack data analytics. They will be able to communicate clearly and effectively with engineering staff and non-traditional technical team members (e.g., project managers, client teams, and executive teams).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to ensure solutions meet customers' business needs and requirements.
• Work with clients to evaluate current business processes and anticipate functional requirements.
• Analyzes requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing business systems.
• Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures and identify problems.
• Solicits from management symptoms of problems, formally defines the problem, breaks problem into component parts, and gathers information about each of these parts from a variety of sources.
• Supports selection of most appropriate analytical techniques.
• Prepare documentation to communicate findings.
• Communicate information and insights effectively to cross-functional team members and management.
• Perform requirements analysis.
• Gather and document critical information about relevant information technology landscape, business processes, and data sources from stakeholder meetings.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Three (3) to five (5)+ years of professional, hands-on experience as an analyst supporting data-driven products.
• Excellent documentation facilitation skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations.
• Ability to work closely with stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions and opportunities for process improvement.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively, with shifting priorities.
• Positive attitude, self-motivated, organized and a good problem solver.
• Competency using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.).
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with the DoD, Military Health System (MHS) and the DHA is highly desired.
• Understanding of advanced technologies and innovative solutions.
• Working knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with AI/ML a plus.
• AWS (Amazon Web Services) and/or Microsoft Azure knowledge or certification(s) a plus.
• Active DoD CAC or Active DoD Clearance.

Clearance Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust

San Antonio, TX -Falls, Church, VA -Remote

*The Government reserves the right to change where this work will be performed, and light travel may be requested occasionally. Ideal cities and states with access to Government facilities are: Falls Church, VA, Washington, DC, San Antonio, TX, and Aurora, CO  

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $78,000 - 130,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
