About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief of Staff to join its senior leadership team. This newly created role is pivotal in providing strategic planning, programmatic management, and oversight across various program areas. The successful candidate will be a thought partner to the Executive Director, collaborating with program leads to ensure the success of the organization's initiatives. Key responsibilities include program support and implementation, executive and strategic support, and operational leadership. The Chief of Staff will be instrumental in guiding the evaluation of program impacts, seeking program funding, and representing the organization in high-level meetings. Applicants for the Chief of Staff position at the company should have a master's degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field, with a minimum of 8 years experience in program management, staff oversight, or related areas. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in at least one of the program areas, high-level program management experience, and a deep understanding of the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors. The ideal candidate will possess superb organizational and people management skills, be a strategic thinker, and have a proactive approach to problem-solving. A passion for marine conservation, environmental stewardship, and a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion are essential attributes for this role.
