Overview :
Badaly Engineering is a growing design/build company offering full-service architectural and engineering services in the New York City & Lower Westchester area. We specialize in the design of new residential houses and apartment buildings, in addition to offering a broad range of engineering design, inspection and investigation services. We also serve as a Special Inspection Agency.
We are seeking a full-time civil engineer, who is hard-working, passionate about the field, and motivated to quickly develop their career in our fast-paced environment.
Job Duties:
- Perform engineering analysis and design calculations.
- Preparation of engineering and architectural working drawings using CAD software.
- Coordination of design work with in-house staff.
- Organize projects and become knowledgeable of the current status of each project.
- Prepare and deliver permit applications to authority having jurisdiction.
- Perform controlled & special inspections.
Engineering Design & Drawings:
- Superstructure - Wood, Steel, Masonry & Concrete Systems.
- Support of Excavation / Underpinning.
- Shallow & Deep Foundation Systems.
- Engineer's Reports for Inspections & Investigations.
- Site Planing - Stormwater & Sanitary Connection, Photometric Lighting, Landscaping.
- Mechanical Systems - Fire Protection Systems.
- Energy Code Compliance.
- Construction Cost Estimation & Value Engineering.
Required Skills and Education:
- Self-starter with pro-active organizational skills who works seamlessly in a team.
- Proven success in meeting strict deadlines.
- Strong math and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CAD software. Knowledge of Vectorworks is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree of Civil Engineering from ABET accredited school or Bachelor's of Architecture from NCARB accredited school.
- EIT Certification is a plus.
- NYC DOB Filing Representative is a plus.
