Job Description

Concrete Finisher

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Concrete Finisher who is open to traveling within the State of Michigan. The role involves project layout and frame building, concrete form building, concrete pouring, and finishing. The ideal candidate will work with rebar and metal framework, lead crews, provide direction on job sites, and have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and a tape measure. Additionally, there is an opportunity to lead apprentices and teach proper techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform project layout and frame building.
  • Construct concrete forms and perform concrete pouring and finishing.
  • Work with rebar and metal framework.
  • Lead crews and provide direction on job sites.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and tape measure accurately.
  • Guide apprentices and teach proper techniques in concrete finishing.

Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in concrete and concrete finishing.
  • Proficiency in construction, rebar, and concrete formwork.
  • Ability to perform flatwork, carpentry, and paving.
  • Skillful in using trowel and understanding concrete construction.
  • Competence in reading blueprints and executing masonry work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in concrete carpentry.
  • Proficiency in concrete finishing and form building.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Midland, MI.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
