Primary Function:

The Director of Finance leads Earned Value Management (EVM) and program control efforts across major programs, while integrating financial management responsibilities such as budget development, forecasting, cost control, scheduling, and financial performance reporting. You will be responsible for ensuring the

accuracy of all program data in Long Wave systems (COBRA, SAP, etc). Will prepare several monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables ensuring they are accurate and submitted on time. Additional responsibilities include supporting ad hoc requests by program management and interfacing with contracts.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Mentor and manage a team of financial analysts, EVM analysts, and schedulers, ensuring effective performance and professional development.

• Manage EVM implementation across programs ensuring compliance with EIA-748 standards.

• Oversee development of program budgets, baseline plans, and schedule integration with cost elements.

• Conduct performance monitoring using CPI, SPI, TCPI, and variance analyses.

• Lead preparation of Estimates at Completion (EAC), forecasts, and corrective action recommendations.

• Manage estimating and pricing activities across all business units.

• Collaborate with finance teams on sales forecasting, headcount planning, and capital investment alignment.

• Present financial and program performance insights to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

• Support internal/external audits and reviews ensuring compliance and accuracy of documentation.

Work Conditions:

Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in EVM , program control, financial planning, or cost management.
  • Lead the Aerostructures quarterly and monthly financial reporting close activities. Perform and document analysis of monthly financial statements and report results to senior leadership.
  • Lead the monthly financial forecast and business unit financial review process including presenting to division leadership
  • Lead development of the Aerostructures Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Strategic Plan (LRSP).
  • Oversee the quarterly profitability and financial EAC process for Aerostructures programs.
  • Monitor and help manage investment funding including NCTA and Capital.
  • Support the SOX controls execution process in coordination with the Division Controller organization.
  • Support and present in executive reviews and provide analysis for senior leadership pertaining to financial performance.
  • Collaborate with the Division Controller team to ensure alignment and continuous improvement of the financial close process.
  • Develop and coach direct reports and members of other business management functions, provide training, prioritize tasks, promote exchange of ideas, and foster a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • MBA in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline business related field and/or CPA
  • Leadership experience: Manager, Supervisor, lead role
  • Experience in Finance, Accounting, Pricing/Cost estimating, Contracts, Program Control, or other related Business Management function(s)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Prior industry experience in aerospace and defense
  • Experience and capabilities with business intelligence tools
  • Previous DoD experience
  • Active DoD Security Clearance
