Position and Responsibilities Overview
  • Plan programs from start to finish, including identifying processes, deadlines and milestones
  • Initiate and set goals for programs based on the organization’s strategic objectives
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the overall program to all stakeholders
  • Works with the key project staff, consultants, contractors and subcontractors to devise executable actions to rectify potential cost overruns, delays, or changes to the scope of work
  • Implement risk management plans and strategies for potential risk mitigation
  • Works closely with Engineering by providing feedback from information gathered during program support activities
  • Assess project performance and implement changes as necessary to ensure the programs remain within budget, schedule, scope and quality objectives
  • Provide program evaluations and assessment of results throughout and post project deployment
  • Assist in coordinating across a diverse team of engineering, supply chain, and production personnel to ensure program requirements are met
  • Support engagement with customers and senior management effectively through strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Initiate setup, monitoring and updating of program/project scheduling
  • Coordinate required procurement of materials and equipment with purchasing agent, with emphasis on buyout plan to meet, or improve on, established schedule dates and budget cost
  • Responsible for overall financial performance of all assigned programs/projects, including continual cost control, management and forecasting
  • Attend program management meetings; respond to any questions associated with assigned programs
  • Conduct regularly scheduled program/project staff meetings
  • Liaise with purchasing managers to develop and improve supplier relationship
  • Review Lean Production processes and procedure to ensure they operate at highest possible efficiency
  • Ensure timely and effective delivery of goods to clients

 

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business administration or a related field. Lean Manufacturing background and Lean Six Sigma a plus.

· Demonstrated experience in preparing and delivering executive level presentations

· Strong negotiation and facilitation skills with an ability to gain consensus.

· Proven and recent experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management.

· Ability to manage customer expectations throughout the program implementation and delivery process.

· An expert level of communication skills is essential.

· Expert level knowledge and practice of both theoretical and practical aspects of program management principles, processes, and tools.

· Possess a high degree of technical aptitude and demonstratable experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment specializing in the design, fabrication, integration, and commissioning of numerous product types including specific knowledge in LV and MV electrical distribution equipment, wiring, termination, testing and commissioning.

· Knowledge on construction means and methods, special systems, IT wiring, fires suppression and permitting processes.

· Must have verifiable management experience in a cross functional team environment.
