Dispatcher - New Britain Schools

Pay: $27 - $28/hr based on experience

Shifts: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Your Role as Dispatcher:

• Manage daily bus routes, ensuring smooth operations and on-time arrivals.

• Act as primary communication link with drivers, monitors, and school administrators.

• Coach and counsel drivers and monitors, providing ongoing support and feedback.

• Respond swiftly and effectively to route issues, scheduling changes, and complaints.

• Oversee radio and telephone communications, ensuring clear, effective messaging.

• Assist with administrative tasks such as driver payroll, billing, and charter reservations.

• Step in to provide driving coverage when needed.

What You'll Bring:

• Experience: 3-5 years in dispatch, transportation, or related fields.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

• Skills: Excellent communication, strong problem-solving abilities, and computer literacy.

• Adaptability: Thrives in fast-paced environments and comfortable managing tight deadlines.

• Compliance: Ability to pass DOT drug testing and physical examination. Please note DOT regulations prohibit the use of Schedule I substances, including marijuana.
