MAIN FUNCTION:

  • Responsible for the planning, implementation, maintenance, and support of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and other systems associated with exchanging transactional data with customers, suppliers, and other business partners
  • Oversee daily EDI operations, including monitoring and troubleshooting EDI transactions, ensuring timely and accurate data exchange.
  • Manage, plan, schedule and prioritize EDI projects and tasks

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in EDI operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Experience in dealing with partner support teams for issue resolution
  • Hands-on experience with:
    1. Supply chain documents (832, 850, 855, 856, 860)
    2. 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) and Warehouse Management System documents (940, 945, 943, 944, 947, 846, 856)
  • Knowledge of AS2, S/FTP XML, S/ and other data interface formats deployed in an EDI solution
  • Experience with industry standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT)
  • Experience working with UPCs, GTINs
  • Experience with OpenText/GXS and CommerceHub is a plus
  • Proficient with relational database design and SQL
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Implement process improvements to enhance EDI efficiency and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage EDI projects, including new implementations, upgrades, and enhancements. Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Serve as an EDI contact for suppliers, external customers, and internal business units
  • Initial contact for any issues from our Customers/Suppliers technical groups
  • Understand project requirements from customers, suppliers, and internal business departments, communicate them to the team
  • Resolve transaction processing issues and follow department reporting and communication procedures
  • Complete project functional requirements for EDI projects
  • Write test cases and perform project testing
  • Act as an escalation point to resolve issues from suppliers, external customers, and internal customers
  • Establish and maintain liaison relationships with business partners and IT organization to provide effective technical solutions
  • Conduct data gathering and analysis to understand business strategy requirements
  • Contribute to business short-and long-term planning sessions to ensure understanding of business goals and direction
  • Generate and analyze EDI transaction reports. Identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
