Are you passionate about the construction industry and have a knack for numbers? We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to provide key insights and drive the financial success of our construction projects. You will play a critical role in our organization, working collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Estimator, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Reviewing and interpreting electrical plans and specifications to prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive estimates.
2. Conducting site visits and gathering all necessary data to prepare estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and time requirements.
3. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other team members to understand project scope and requirements.
4. Analyzing different suppliers and contractors to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
5. Preparing and submitting financial documents, such as budgets, bids, and contracts.
6. Monitoring project progress, identifying variances, and revising estimates as needed.
7. Keeping up-to-date with the latest electrical products, technology, and regulations in the construction industry.
8. Communicating effectively with team members, clients, and suppliers, providing clear and concise feedback and recommendations.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator, or in a similar role in the construction industry.
2. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, products, and regulations.
3. Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
4. Exceptional mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex plans and specifications.
5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
6. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
7. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. A degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
