Summary:

The Senior Electronic Repair Technician III operates both independently and within a team environment, analyzing complex renewable energy (wind turbine) controllers to identify root causes of failures and performing necessary repairs using specialized test equipment.

Duties:

• Conduct inspections, evaluations, and execute component-level repairs as needed.
• Perform circuit board repairs to component level.
• Implement controller operating system and site configuration firmware.
• Validate repair and system operation performance using hardware simulators.
• Collaborate closely with engineering to enhance repair and test processes.

Skills:

• Demonstrated technical expertise in analog and digital circuit design.
• Proven troubleshooting proficiency to component level on intricate electronic circuits.
• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Fundamental knowledge of common industrial transducers and controls.
• Exceptional soldering skills with the ability to remove and replace fine pitch SMD components.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve typical problems in own work area.
• Proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Certifications:

• Preferred certifications in IPC-7711/7721 and IPC-A-610.

Experience:

• Associate degree in Electronics Engineering or Electronics Engineering Technology.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a related technical field.
