Job Description

The ideal candidate will be an organized, communicative and detail-oriented leader in estimating for the construction industry, preference for experience in land preparation, earthworks. The candidate will be familiar with the bidding process, and able to quickly learn our company specific format to complete accurate bids and win work.

About the Role

The candidate will be responsible for bid scheduling, bid documentation, material and subcontractor quote, bid preparation and follow up along with various tasks related to estimating and bidding in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Generate work durations
• Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
• Obtain accurate quotes for materials and subcontractors to establish accurate cost estimates
• Establish budgets for projects
• Communicate effectively and provide detailed hand off to field operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Construction Management, Finance, Engineering or similar
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
• Familiarity with and ability to read plans and specifications
• Minimum of 1 - 3 years' of construction experience preferred

Required Skills

Proven leadership in estimating, familiarity with bidding processes, and strong communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience in land preparation and earthworks.
