Overview ETL Developer role at Stampin' Up! in Riverton, UT. The position involves working with business analysts to gather requirements for development, testing, and project coordination; documenting ETL mapping specifications; preparing source analysis and ETL design documentation prior to development; and extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources into the data warehouse using ETL tools. Responsibilities Extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into the data warehouse using ETL tools including SAP Data Services and Informatica. Document ETL mapping specifications and prepare documentation for source analysis and ETL design prior to development. Move data from source systems to different schemas based on dimensions and fact tables using slowly changing dimensions type 1 and type 2. Improve performance of ETL processes by benchmarking approaches and implementing changes such as redesigning mappings, introducing intermediate/staging tables, and using database partitioning. Create test cases, perform unit testing for ETL code, and log/resolve defects during deployment; participate in defect analysis calls for UAT to understand data and suggest modifications. Prepare complex SQL queries to validate data in source and target databases; tune mapping performance following best practices to reduce ETL run time. Create and enhance data solutions enabling seamless delivery of data; collect, parse, manage, and analyze large data sets for reporting; lead the design of the logical data model and implement the physical database structure, including operational data stores and data marts. Identify and fix production issues quickly; work with data validation tools to create test rules and validate data loaded in the data warehouse; create monitors, validation rules, and dashboards to identify issues. Collaborate with end users to understand data requirements and ensure data quality and availability for reporting. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) or related field of study, and 4 years of software development experience. Specific skills/requirements: SQL, data warehousing including dimensional modeling and support; ETL tools SAP Data Services (BODS)/Business Objects Data Integrator (BODI) and Informatica.
