Job Description

The Genesis OB-GYN team is seeking a new partner to join an established standard OBGYN practice in Zanesville, OH. The practice is continuing to expand and recruitment is due to the integration of an OB/GYN laborist model with our traditional practice. Planned upcoming retirements will allow you to fill your practice quickly.

Practice Overview:

  1. Level 2 nursery - 24/7 in house Nationwide Childrens pediatricians 
  2. Av. 1,500 births per year
  3. OBGYN Hospitalist team to compliment call
  4. Scheduled OR block time 
  5. 7 APPs for support
  6. Urogynecology on site as well

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide primary and preventative care to women, including routine gynecological exams, Pap smears, and breast exams.
  2. Diagnose and treat various gynecological conditions such as menstrual disorders, endometriosis, and pelvic inflammatory disease.
  3. Performing prenatal care for pregnant women, including monitoring fetal development, managing high-risk pregnancies, and addressing any pregnancy-related concerns.
  4. Conduct deliveries, both vaginal and cesarean, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby.
  5. Perform surgical procedures such as hysterectomies, laparoscopies, and tubal ligations as needed.
  6. Educate patients about reproductive health, contraception options, and family planning.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, midwives, and other specialists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, examination results, and treatment plans.
  9. Stay informed about the latest advancements in obstetrics and gynecology through continuing medical education and professional development activities.
  10. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice, ensuring patient confidentiality and informed consent.
