SmartHire has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager for a client in South Seattle. Salary
$110k - $150k annually DOE

Shift
Monday – Friday 6am - 4:30pm with rotating Saturdays 7:00am - 12:00pm.
Job Summary:
This role oversees the maintenance operations of the fleet, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and safety. It includes managing staff, coordinating repairs, maintaining records, and optimizing costs.
· Supervise Maintenance Operations: Manage day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure fleet safety and reliability.
· Staff Management: Lead, train, and evaluate maintenance personnel; ensure adherence to company policies.
· Inter-Department Collaboration: Communication with transportation department to align fleet readiness with business needs.
· Compliance: Ensure all vehicles meet safety and operational standards.
· Budget Management: Monitor repair costs, approve expenses, and control inventory.
· Vendor Coordination: Establish relationships with suppliers for parts and service.
· Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports.
· Performance Monitoring: Track fleet performance metrics and implement improvements.
· Process Standardization and Support: Develop and implement standardized maintenance procedures across locations, providing support to teams in other areas as needed.
About you:
·5 years’ experience in MD/HD commercial fleet maintenance
·Strong leadership and communication skills
·Knowledge of compliance regulations
·Budgeting and cost control experience
·Strong computer skills. Fleet management software experience a plus
·WA State Class A or B commercial driver’s license
·Must have a clean driving record and be insurable
·Journeyman level tool set
