Ops Supervisor at Ryder.

Position Summary

Assists Ops Manager with shift operations at location in Sterling, VA. Supervise technicians, customer service coordinators, service employees. Achieve business objectives, ensure customers needs met, balance financial, quality, safety, asset targets. Manage location performance, cross?functionally trained to back up others. Prepare for Ops Manager role.

Essential Functions

• Workflow management: plan, schedule, assign work; track productivity; conduct shift meetings; review RO; triage unscheduled drive?ins; communicate with customers.
• Labor management: train, develop, manage personnel; performance management.
• Customer management: retain customers, communicate PM scheduling, follow?up, breakdown updates; conduct customer visits.
• Asset management: maintain shop appearance, sustain standards, recommend tooling, manage vehicle specifications, parts inventory.
• Quality management: inspections, root cause analysis, corrective actions, maintain repair quality.
• Financial management: meet net maintenance cost objectives, control budget, execute initiatives, payroll, invoicing, bill back process.

Additional Responsibilities

• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

• Represent Ryder professionally; interact with customers.
• Strong vehicle diagnostics/repair knowledge (preferred).
• Microsoft Office intermediate preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Associates degree preferred or 13 yrs experience in maintenance operations; demonstrated Ryder role may substitute.
• Bachelors degree preferred or 13 yrs experience in maintenance operations; demonstrated Ryder role may substitute.
• Maintenance and technical experience in a shop required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with Shop Management System preferred.
• Microsoft Office intermediate preferred.

Compensation Information

Salaried. Minimum and maximum pay range $76,500.
