The role you'll contribute:

Under general supervision of the Program Manager, the Flight Nurse is responsible for the safe transport of critically ill and injured patients, working jointly with the flight paramedic or second flight nurse in patient care decisions. Completes and documents patient assessments, treatments, medication, reactions as per department protocols and AH policy. Adheres to all safety requirements while transporting patients, in and around vehicles/aircraft. Communicates patient updates to physicians with hand of care to receiving RN/MD and appropriate triage of urgency. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to the rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Serves as a facility provider resource and role model in the use of clinical information systems, maintaining thorough knowledge of the computer system and various applications.




• Rounds with providers during care delivery to assess functionality, impact on workflow, analyze and anticipate user needs, and document requests.




• Analyzes requirements to propose effective solutions and identifies opportunities for improvement and automation.




• Researches, validates, and logs provider Electronic Medical Record (EMR) enhancement requests, discusses recommended solutions with provider and operational teams, and obtains operational design approval.




• Conducts multiple annual IT outreach touchpoints with medical staff members, shares application tips to improve workflow efficiency, and guides best practices.

Qualifications

• Associate's of Nursing Required




• Bachelor's of Nursing Preferred




• 3 Work Experience Required




• Driver's License (DL) Required




• Registered Nurse (RN) Required




• Certified Flight RN (CFRN) Required




• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) Required




• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required




• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) Required




• Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Required




• Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC) Required or




• Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC) Required




• Flight Paramedic - Certified (FP-C) Preferred




• Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) Preferred




• Commercial Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) Preferred




• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) Preferred




• Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) Preferred




• NonViolent Crisis Intervention Program (CPI) Preferred




• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) Preferred
