The Front Office Receptionist is the First Officer of First Impressions and is responsible for warmly greeting and checking in patients, collecting co-payments, scheduling patient appointments, assisting patients with any questions or concerns and directing them to the proper department. If you have excellent communication and organizational skills and are able to multi-task under pressure of a fast-paced, high volume office while managing patient flow using our computerized electronic medical records (EMR) system than this position may be the right fit for you.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Checks patients in and monitors waiting room to ensure all patients are attended to
- Collects and process co-payments, co-insurance, account balances
- Copies, scans and verifies pertinent patient insurance information
- Maintain office supplies and medical supplies
- Expedite billing department request for patient information
- Working closely with providers to coordinate patient care needs
Requirements - Electronic Medical Records programs, ( EPIC Preferred )
- Two years Customer Service Experience
- Experience in a fast paced work environment
- Experience with Medicare, HMO and PPO insurance payers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Proven problem solving, analytical and decision making skills
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
- HS diploma (Required)
Strongly Preferred Qualifications - One year previous experience in a busy medical, clinic or hospital setting, preferred
- One year EMR preferred- EPIC Preferred

Compensation will be based on experience
Pay Scale/Ranges: Starting at $ 22.00 per hour (and the hourly equivalent for salaried employees)
Employees actual pay rate will depend on a host of factors including, without limitation, job location, specialty, skillset, education, and experience.
