About this Role:

Brinc is looking for an experienced sUAS pilot to help run Drone as First Responder (DFR) demonstrations and assist in flight tests at our off-site test facility. You will oversee the operation of the BRINC Responder and Station, often in conjunction with a remote operator. In this role you will work closely with Brinc’s R&D and Sales teams to deliver high quality demos for potential customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate sUAS for customer demonstrations, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.
• Conduct pre-flight inspections, post-flight inspections, and post-flight analysis.
• Monitor weather conditions, airspace restrictions, and other potential hazards to ensure safe operations.
• Daily test site setup and breakdown, ensuring the test site is operational at the beginning and cleaned up at the end of each day.
• Communicate demo availability with internal stakeholders.
• Assist with flight tests and share critical feedback with R&D teams.

Qualifications:

• FAA Part 107 Certification.
• Practical experience with sUAS.
• Knowledge and experience operating in US airspace.
• 2+ years experience with commercial or public sUAS operations or university level education and training in civil sUAS operations.

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of sUAS systems and real-world performance.
• Experience operating various sUAS systems from different manufacturers.
• Excellent piloting skills, capable of navigating drones in various weather conditions and environments.
• Ability to convey technical information to various stakeholders.
• Experience with technical or engineering record keeping and note taking.
• General understanding of drone technology, including sensors, cameras, and flight control systems.
• Experience debugging hardware and software systems.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and evaluate unmanned aerial systems.
• Ability to work independently in a startup environment.
• Desire and/or ability to spend time outdoors.

Salary: $21-35/hr. Should you receive an offer, please expect that it can fall anywhere within this range. A multitude of factors will determine a fair salary based on scope of role within the organization, years of relevant experience, specific skills, and evaluation of capability to execute in role successfully (among other critical factors). This is a 1099 Contract position.
