Apex Systems is actively hiring for a
GIS Analyst role with a
Fortune 200 Renewable Energy Client! This position is designated as Onsite with preferred candidates working in or near Juno Beach, Florida.
Position: GIS Analyst
Location: Juno Beach, FL
Purpose: This contractor will be helping with many projects related to utilities and power distribution.
Hours: M-F, 40 hours per week. Possibility of OT with permission. Hybrid is available but must be local to Juno Beach, FL.
Length of Assignment: 12-month contract + potential extension
Requirements: This role requires a blend of technical GIS expertise, specifically in GE Smallworld or ESRI products, and the flexibility to adapt to project-specific tools and methodologies. The candidate should be prepared for initial intensive training and a dynamic work environment that includes both remote and on-site work.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience with Smallworld or 2-3+ years of any other GIS tool.
- Collaborative Skills: Ability to work effectively within a team of contractors and in-house staff, contributing to various data cleanup and system upgrade initiatives
- Hybrid Work Model Adaptability: Willingness to work in a hybrid model, with initial on-site training followed by a combination of remote and on-site work as required by the project.
- Utilities Knowledge: Basic understanding of utility distribution systems, including knowledge of transformers and their functions.
- GIS Tools: Experience with other GIS tools like Ezri, ArcMap, and ArcGIS, with the ability to quickly adapt to Smallworld if not already familiar.
- GIS Data Cleanup: Ability to perform extensive data cleanup, including correcting customer associations to transformers and addressing incorrect transformer associations.
Education: - Bachelors degree required
