Position Description:

This internship is an exciting opportunity for a college student with a passion for design and marketing to gain hands-on experience. In this role, the intern will work closely with the Creative Team to support a variety of projects, including a large design project, email marketing campaigns, and additional marketing-related tasks. This internship offers the chance to learn about the creative process, enhance design skills, and gain exposure to real-world marketing applications.

The intern will assist in crafting visually appealing and engaging materials, from graphic design to email marketing campaigns, and collaborate with team members to bring the brand's identity and messaging to life across multiple platforms. This position provides an excellent learning opportunity for students pursuing a career in graphic design, marketing, or a related field.

Responsibilities & Expectations:

· Brand Consistency & Identity: Assist in maintaining Merkle Retirement Planning’s visual brand, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all projects.

· Multi-Media Design: Help design and produce marketing collateral, including multi-media graphics, email templates, and other digital content.

· Email Marketing: Support email marketing efforts by creating visually compelling email templates and graphics that align with campaign goals.

· Large Design Project: Focus on a key design project throughout the internship, contributing creative concepts and executing design elements under the guidance of the team.

· Software Proficiency: Create and edit designs using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant tools. Stay updated on design trends and industry-standard software.

· Project Management: Help manage and track the progress of multiple design and marketing projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and projects stay on schedule.

· Team Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with team members to understand design requirements and provide design solutions that align with project goals. Participate in team meetings and provide input on creative concepts.

· Problem-solving: Contribute creative ideas and solutions to design challenges that arise, adapting to changes in project scope and requirements.

· Time Management: Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work efficiently.

· Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate design concepts and feedback.

· Creative & Visual Communication: Strong interest in graphic design and marketing, with the ability to turn ideas into visually compelling content.

· Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, ensuring all designs align with the brand's identity and project specifications.

· Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Collaboration: Team-oriented, with a positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively on group projects.

· Willingness to Learn: Open to feedback and eager to learn new skills and techniques in the design and marketing fields.
