Job Description

Minimum Required Skills: Hadoop, HIVE , HBase, Python, Scrum, Machine Learning, Statistical, Numerical, Data Analysis, Network Programming, SDK, API What You Will Be Doing: We are helping a major Telecom client implement their Big Data initiatives to use in their enterprise reporting for their marketing and data analytics functions. Duties: You will work with a team of engineers, project managers, analyst and testers to architect, design, and implement custom solutions which will include such activities as:

• Integration with HDFS using Hive and HBase
• Producing unit tests and functional tests using an industry standard testing framework.
• Resolving bugs in Jira or other cloud based solution.
• Developing solutions that pull data from Hadoop, Mongo, and other NoSQL sources.
• Deploying your code to a continuous integration (CI) environment.

What You Need for this Position

• Experience with Hadoop
• Proficiency with at least two strongly typed 3GL languages: Java, JavaScript, C#, C++, etc.
• Proficiency with at least one 4GL language: SQL, Python, Ruby, R, PL/SQL, etc.
• Exposure to agile development processes like SCRUM.
• Professional experience or course work experience with machine learning or statistical analysis is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science
• Java certification from Sun Microsystems or Oracle
• AWS Certification
• Linux Certification
