Job Details
We are seeking a Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide vacation coverage at our facility in Virginia. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals and make a real difference in the lives of patients in need.
Qualifications:
Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage
Weekday, Weeknight, and Weekend Call Coverage
MD takes call from ED, ICU, and Transfer Center
Active VA State License and DEA
Cases: Open Heart Surgery- CABG/AVR/MVR/TVR/Replace ascending aorta, LAA clipping/exclusion
Thoracic cases would be preferred--thoracotomy, thoracoscopy, decortication, pleurodesis
Patient census—1-2 surgeries/day and any postop care for surgeries he/she performs
Board-certified or board-eligible
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
ACLS and BLS required
