Housekeeper / Household Assistant

Hourly : $35 – 40per hour

Locations : Central Park West, Manhattan, NY (with occasional travel to the Hamptons and West Palm Beach, FL)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday with flexibility required for occasional travel and weekend support
Compensation: Commensurate with experience for 40 hours of work ($75,000 - $85,000 yearly), including benefits (PTO, Sick days, and other benefits).

Overview:
A private family is seeking a warm, attentive, and experienced Housekeeper / Household Assistant to support a couple in their Manhattan residence. The ideal candidate will have a background in senior care within a private home and a proactive, helper mindset. This role requires someone who is compassionate, reliable, and capable of managing day-to-day support for the couple while ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide daily assistance to an elderly gentleman and his wife in a respectful and dignified manner
Prepare healthy and well-balanced meals tailored to dietary needs
Accompany Mr. to medical appointments and manage transportation logistics
Offer medication reminders and ensure schedules are followed
Assist with light housekeeping and general household organization
Run errands, grocery shopping, and help with daily planning
Travel with the couple to their secondary homes in the Hamptons and West Palm Beach as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a caregiver or household assistant in a private home
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to travel domestically and work occasional weekends or evenings
Strong communication skills and a calm, professional demeanor
Comfortable with light cooking and knowledgeable about healthy nutrition
CPR/First Aid certification strongly preferred
Has a genuine passion for helping others
Is highly organized, dependable, and discreet
Thrives in a role that blends caregiving with household support
Brings a positive, can-do attitude and emotional intelligence
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
