$195K-$239K + Equity

Company Description: Our client, a well-funded startup ($18M seed) in San Francisco, is revolutionizing home security by bringing autonomous robotics and self-driving car technology to residential protection. Led by veteran entrepreneurs and roboticists from companies like Tesla, Zipline, and The Boring Company, they're building cutting-edge perception systems for the modern home. This fast-growing team of 19 is backed by top-tier investors and is poised to transform the security industry.

What You Will Do:

• Design and optimize data flow architectures across on-prem, edge, and cloud-based applications
• Create seamless integrations between backend perception systems and customer-facing interfaces
• Evaluate and implement technologies for hardware-software integration, including firmware drivers and data pipeline architectures
• Build and maintain robust CI/CD and OTA update systems
• Develop scalable machine learning pipelines and data engineering solutions
• Collaborate on security policies and incident response frameworks
• Monitor system performance and proactively address integration challenges

Ideal Candidate Background:

• Experience developing software for hardware products in safety-critical fields (aerospace, robotics, medical devices, autonomous vehicles)
• Track record with complex distributed systems supporting production loads
• Strong foundation in software lifecycle best practices
• Versatile technical skills spanning cloud services to embedded systems
• Background in building reproducible data and machine learning pipelines
• AWS expertise, including infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Demonstrated ability to build and improve secure systems

Preferred:

• Experience with sensor integration and real-time systems
• Background in computer vision or perception systems
• Track record of architectural decision-making in a production environment
• Experience with robotics or autonomous systems

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base Salary: $195,000 - $239,000
• Equity: 0.10% - 0.50%
