INTERNSHIP
Keystone Insurers Group, the largest agency partnership in the country, is comprised of 270+ independent agencies located in eleven states: Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan and Missouri.
Recognizing that college graduates are looking to gain experience before commencing their career search, and agency owners are looking for bright young people with whom they may perpetuate their agencies, Keystone has begun facilitating paid summer internships for students interested in a career in sales. Our program is outlined below:
- * Eight to nine weeks of intensive exposure to agency production methods, client services, and agency operations:* Employee Benefits
- Property & Casualty (Commercial and Personal Lines)
- Life Insurance (Not available through every Host Agency)
- Client Services and Agency Operations
- Apprenticeship to a producer/mentor to observe the requisite skills and practices required to succeed in sales. The intern will assist the producer/mentor in the performance of his/her duties to determine if a role in agency production is a viable career option
- Exposure to our Path to Professionalism™ video sales training curriculum
- Completion of the following is required: a sales related project to benefit the host agency, a case analysis project/presentation and an after action report in the form of a brief essay
- Compensation is $15.00 per hour. Mileage reimbursement and lodging assistance may be provided by the host agency if necessary.

Requirements for selection:
- A current transcript documenting a minimum grade point average of 2.75.
- A recommendation from one professor and one business person not related to you
- A favorable sales profile conducted online at Keystone’s expense
