Job Description:

We are in search of a professional upbeat Interventional Radiology Technologist to participate in the diagnosis and treatment of patients undergoing invasive radiographic procedures. You will operate imaging equipment such as X-Rays, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Computed Tomography (CT) to assist in guiding small instruments such as catheters through blood vessels or other pathways.

As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will work alongside physicians and nurses in our hospital specializing in interventional radiology.

Responsibilities:

  • Associate performs quality Diagnostic procedures in an accurate and timely manner.
  • He/she operates diagnostic equipment and processes images.
  • Associate prepares patients X-ray room, equipment, supplies and medication as indicated and delivers patient services using various imaging modalities.
  • Associate practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed.
  • He/she maintains a safe environment for patients, visitors, staff and co- workers.
  • Supports and helps achieve the departmental and hospital goals.
  • Training of practitioners and other staff in relevant aspects of radiation protection.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree required - Graduate from an accredited Radiology Program.
  • Active ARTT, CMRT, or RDMS certification required.
  • One (1) to three (3) years Interventional Radiology Tech experience required.
  • Six (6) months training experience in special procedures preferred.
  • Sterile technique, excellent radiography skills, understanding of vascular anatomy required.
  • Must possess Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) from TDH.
  • CPR Certification from American Heart Association required.
