ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Avoya Travel is hiring a full-time IT Support Technician.

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Technician to join our team. In this role, you will administer and support new and existing corporate information system assets. Support will be provided via desk-side, phone, and/or remote connectivity. This includes troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software and local area network issues while adhering to internal escalation and standard operating procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Provide day-to-day technical support for employees’ hardware and software needs.
  • Troubleshoot diagnoses and promptly resolve issues on desktop and peripheral information systems.
  • End-user account management for local and network user profiles.
  • Creates and maintains new and existing Inventory lists for corporate information system needs.
  • Communicates technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel.
  • Tests and recommend hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades.
  • Participates in a vast variety of information systems and infrastructure support projects.
  • Perform problem resolution and escalation practices.
  • Consult with senior peers on various projects.
  • Assist with other tasks and/or special projects as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Experienced providing end-user Desktop/Local Area Network support.
  • Experience working in customer service role.
  • Must possess knowledge of desktop operating systems; Windows 11.
  • Provide remote and on-site end-user support for MS Office 365, Anti-Virus, Active Directory, and various 3rd party applications.
  • Must possess the ability to analyze data to offer recommendations and provide permanent issue resolution.
  • Ability to verbalize or express complex technical concepts effectively in writing and overall excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
  • Able to work independently and as a team member.
  • Employees who work from home ( part-time, full-time, or on occasion) must be able to meet performance standards and department requirements in a productive and professional environment.
  1. This includes the ability to work with little or no distraction(s), consistent internet connectivity, regular and ongoing communication with supervisors(s), reliable childcare and/or eldercare (if applicable), and depending on the role, the ability to discuss and protect all confidential information (company or people related).
  • Presents a professional and tidy appearance (virtually or in person) while conducting educational sessions, calls, and/or meetings (when cameras are on).

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION

  • 1+ years or more of working experience in a similar role.
  • High School Diploma.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This is primarily a stationary position with prolonged periods of sitting and working from a computer (ability to type, read, review, write, etc.) for a full workday.
  • Must be able to lift, bend, pull, and carry up to 25 pounds as needed, and perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods and moving equipment or supplies
  • Professional appearance when attending events or facilitating sessions virtually or in-person.
  • May need to occasionally travel to home office or other locations for events as needed.
  • Ability to speak English clearly, in a friendly manner, and at an appropriate tone and volume over the company’s provided phone system, Microsoft Teams, or in person.

OTHER

  • Due to the cyclical nature of the travel industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the business.
