International manufacturer of cold formed automative and commercial fasteners are looking for Japanese Bilingual Purchasing Specialist.

The primary responsibility of the purchasing specialist is to acquire all the company’s various supplies (raw materials ＋MRO) negotiates the company’s purchasing agreements and making sure their materials and product meet the company’s specification, maintaining accurate and acceptable levels of all inventories.

This person will work directly with customers, sending quotes, negotiating prices, and responding to various customer requests.

• Performs outside sales/customer request responsibilities by in-person visits, telephone, mail, and e-mail. 
• Provides quotations, product information, and samples when needed.
• Performs outside sales activities to obtain new customer needs and new product information.

2 years’ experience with MRP system
• Excellent computer skills
• Experience with PLEX preferred 
• Strong knowledge of industry and market conditions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent negotiation and problem solving
• Flexible to work long hours as demanded by projects
• Able to travel and meet venders / suppliers as necessary
• Helpful If able to translate (Japanese to English) (English to Japanese)

No travel.
Non- exempt position (qualified for overtime payment)
