Job Summary

The Java Developer will be responsible for coding and modifying websites and web applications, from layout to function and according to a client's specifications. A Software Developer must be able to occasionally interface with customers to assist with analyzing user needs to determine technical requirements.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Developer to join our IT team. This position will be full-time, hybrid, and is a contract position.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze design, code, and perform component and assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team

  • Design and Development of key/critical modules within the client system

  • Understand the functional requirements and technical specifications of projects necessary for implementing technical solutions.

  • Provide accurate estimates for design and programming efforts for system changes and enhancements. Identify appropriate business examples to illustrate key concepts / features

  • Work with functional groups both internal to Client Technology Service Group (e.g., project management, network operations.) and external in order to provide tightly integrated solutions for the web applications and backend systems

What You'll Need

Required

  • This person must work effectively both as an individual contributor as well as a member of the development team in designing, developing and testing software application solutions

  • Ensure that technical documentation and technical artifacts are accurately prepared, maintained, and cataloged

  • Experience in AWS

  • Experience with Microservices

  • Experience with Python

  • Implement unit tests and debug to ensure code quality

  • Building self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components

  • Writing non-blocking code, and resorting to advanced techniques such as multi-threading, when needed

Desired

  • Full Stack Development Experience Highly

  • Stay current with industry trends and Angular updates

  • Cooperating with the back-end developer in the process of building the RESTful API

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
