. This position is fully on-site and offers an opportunity to lead impactful survey projects while working closely with our talented staff. The Land Survey Project Manager will oversee survey projects, coordinate with survey crews, process and analyze data, and manage boundary resolution initiatives. This role requires an active presence in the office to ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team. The position reports directly to the Vice President.

Responsibilities

• Compute boundary surveys and review survey plats for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with survey crew chiefs to ensure all plats and as-builts are thoroughly reviewed.
• Develop and compute staking plans to guide survey crews efficiently.
• Work with the Vice President to establish and implement a continuing education program to keep the survey team updated on the latest technology and industry standards.

Experience

• Strong knowledge of land surveying principles and practices.
• Proven experience in managing survey projects and leading teams effectively.
• Proficiency in various types of surveys, including boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys.
• Familiarity with surveying software and equipment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Education/Training
Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred and two years of related experience or eight years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.


License/Certificate (required): Georgia PLS or LSIT and capable of obtaining PLS certification

Other requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit for extended periods.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Must successfully pass a drug test
