External Description Audubon Engineering is seeking a Lead Laser Scan Technician to join their team in our South Houston, TX office.As the Lead Laser Scan Technician, you will oversee and conduct laser scanning operations, ensuring accuracy and quality for various projects within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead team of technicians.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES : - Lead and mentor team of laser scanning technicians.
- Lead the collection of accurate 3D laser scan data on-site.
- Coordinate the processing of raw scan data into usable formats, such as point clouds and 3D models.
- Enforce quality control procedures to maintain data accuracy and reliability.
- Aid in the develop project plans, schedules, and coordinate laser scanning efforts to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure that resources, including personnel, equipment, are able to adhere to timely and cost-effective project execution.
- Aid in providing updates on of project progress and ensure adherence to timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and deliverables.
- Serve as the project point of contact for clients providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure deliverables meet their needs.
- Work closely with end users to optimize their workflow and address their technical needs.
- Aid in the development and training to users on Laser Scanning tools, software features, shortcuts, and best practices.
- Stay updated on the latest Laser Scanning software developments and emerging technologies to provide proactive support.
- Aid in the integration of new tools and techniques into existing workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS : - Integrate new tools and techniques into existing workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in laser scanning, surveying, or a related field, with a track record of leading projects and teams.
- Relevant certifications in laser scanning technology or project management are preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of laser scanning technology, software, and data processing techniques.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Proven experience with Faro Leica Geosystems survey hardware and software.
- Ability to complete required BASIC and Site-Specific safety training as necessary.
