Description View Point Health Job Title: Behavioral Health Clinician (C&A Play Therapy) Bilingual Job Code: HCP050/Social Worker, Licensed Shift: Full-Time (40 hours per week on average) Job Hours: Day Base Location: Norcross, GA. Division/Department/Program: Alianza Terapeutica Latina (ATL) Outpatient Center View Point Health proudly provides outpatient treatment to children, adolescents and adults. At the outpatient centers, we promote overall health and quality of life for individuals, youth and families through evidenced-based therapies and medication management to reduce the impact of mental illness, behavior challenges, and substance use.
Under general supervision, performs psychosocial assessments, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning. Provides counseling/therapy to clients requiring complex intervention. Performs commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments.
Duties & Responsibilities: - Provides comprehensive MH & SUD assessment services to C&A and adult clients seeking treatment services at the outpatient center.
- Conducts Open Access Triage Screening & Assessments to existing and walk-in clients during office hours. Conducts Intake/Biopsychosocial assessments for those requesting services and who meet eligibility criteria for MH/SUD services.
- Provides initial diagnosis (DSM-5); works with client to prepare a Treatment Plan based on assessment info, diagnoses, identified strengths, needs, preferences and resources to develop appropriate goals and objectives. Provides reauthorizations/updates as needed, via state CONNECT system.
- Provides Crisis Intervention services: assesses level of risk & develops Safety Plan, Suicide Risk Assessment; Refers client to the appropriate level of care.
- Completes and submits requests for authorization required by client's payer source or insurance plan. If needed, initiates, and submits 1013 and facilitates transfer to inpatient setting.
- Complete all required documentation (daily clinical notes, assessments, treatment plans) in an accurate and timely manner (agency standard 24 hrs.)
- Participate in clinical supervision to increase competence and address any areas of needed improvement.
- Participates in on-call rotation to provide after-hours coverage, via phone.
- Completes annual training requirements as outlined by agency and/or supervisor.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university
AND eligibility to be licensed in the state of Georgia
OR master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university
AND associate licensure in the sate of Georgia
OR master's degree in a related area from an accredited or university
AND full clinical licensure in the state of Georgia.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Carlogic or other HER/EMR .
- Previous clinical experience working in Community Mental Health Care with SPMI, SUD, &/or Co-Occurring Disorders.
- Experience providing ASAM or substance use specific groups such as Dual Diagnosis, DBT, Seeking Safety .
Requirements/Competencies: - Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
- Requires long periods of sitting/standing.
- Must have valid Georgia driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.
- Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.
- Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
- Other duties as assigned.
