Fashion Brand looking for a Direct- Hire Patternmaker

Job Description: Open to someone with Lingerie, Bra, Swim, Activewear experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with Pattern Creation: Support senior patternmakers in creating paper, fabric, or digital patterns for garments based on designer specifications.
• Pattern Adjustments: Help with the modification of existing patterns to improve fit and design accuracy.
• Measurement Assistance: Assist with taking measurements and conducting fittings on samples to ensure patterns align with design requirements.
• Collaborative Communication: Work closely with design teams to understand style lines and construction details required for each garment.
• Technical Skill Development: Enhance skills in patternmaking software and techniques, staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
• Quality Control: Participate in the review process of completed patterns to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: A degree or certification in fashion design, garment technology, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
• Experience: Some experience or internships in patternmaking, garment production, or fashion design is a plus, but entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of patternmaking techniques and tools (manual or CAD-based). Willingness to learn patternmaking software.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure patterns are accurate and meet design specifications.
• Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills to work effectively with design and production teams.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve fitting issues and pattern discrepancies.
