Job Description & Requirements We are currently looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Trauma Surgery experience for locum tenens coverage in South Carolina.

Details For this Opportunity:
-Schedule: Sept – December Coverage
-Minimum 1 year Current/Recent General or Trauma surgery experience
-Shift: Schedule cycle runs Monday – Monday Nights
-Must be comfortable with Trauma and General Surgery cases, as candidate will be covering all cases that come in through the ED for General Surgery and Trauma
-Procedures required: Predominantly blunt trauma, penetrating trauma, emergent procedures with general surgery, some ICU bedside procedures (tracheotomy, PEG tube, chest tube, etc.)
-Adult and Pediatric trauma comfort required. Pediatric age range generally 8-15, mostly 13-15 within that range
- Licensure/Certification: Active SC license required / SC Controlled Substance License / Active SC DEA / Board Certified or Board Eligible
-Patient age demographic: (adolescent, child, adults, geriatric) Pediatric through Geriatric
-Procedures required: a wide variety of outpatient services are available, including cardiac and physical rehabilitation; a fully-staffed oncology department; 24-hour emergency care; a fully equipped laboratory; and an extensive radiology department
