Job Description

Overview

Individual will be responsible for providing customer service to players, retailers, and/or the general public and will validate and issue payment of lottery prizes; respond to e-mail and mail correspondence, as well as telephone requests; sell Scratchers and Draw Games tickets; accurately maintain cash drawer and ticket inventory; update ticket log and adjustment credit spreadsheets; and obtain winner stories. Individual will also assist with maintaining inventory of office supplies and forms; merchandise lobby area with game information, promotions, and winner information items. Due to the player-focused responsibilities, this position is required to be in office.

Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service to players, retailers, and/or the general public
  • Validate and issue payment of lottery prizes
  • Respond to e-mail and mail correspondence, as well as telephone requests
  • Sell Scratchers and Draw Games tickets
  • Accurately maintain cash drawer and ticket inventory
  • Update ticket log and adjustment credit spreadsheets
  • Obtain winner stories
  • Assist with maintaining inventory of office supplies and forms
  • Merchandise lobby area with game information, promotions, and winner information items
  • Respond to player inquiries, schedule appointments for prize winners, and issue prizes to claimants
  • Work in office as required by responsibilities
Qualifications
  • Two years of office or public contact experience, and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency. (College coursework may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the stated experience.)
  • Prior experience working in a customer service atmosphere would be beneficial
  • Applicant should be proficient in Word and Excel
Compensation
  • Please note: The salary listed in this job description is a base salary. Applicants eligible for years-of-service adjustments may exceed salary range listed above.
