Job Overview
The candidate will oversee complex commercial landscape installation projects from start to finish. The candidate will work with other members of our field operations staff and our project management team to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, with quality work to meet our client’s expectations.

In addition to the potential posted salary range for this position there are opportunities for bonuses based on successful project completion.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Project Pre-Planning:

• Participate in project kick off meetings
• Complete an in-depth review of project related documents to gain an in depth understanding of the scope of work required as well as project specific details

Active Projects:

• Manage labor crews and communicate with crew foreman daily
• Serve as the company’s onsite representative during all phases of the project
• Layout and oversee miscellaneous fine grading
• Layout and oversee the installation of design/build or pre-designed irrigation systems
• Trouble shoot irrigation systems, program irrigation controllers, complete irrigation as-built drawings
• Layout and oversee the installation of live materials including trees, shrubs, ground cover, and sod
• Layout and oversee the installation of miscellaneous hardscape elements such as pavers, artificial turf, planters and site furnishings
• Ensure all work is completed in a professional manner and is in compliance with the construction documents
• Complete quality control inspections and correct any issues discovered
• Review and complete any punch lists issued by clients
• Communicate with vendors and the project management staff to coordinate and audit material deliveries
• Complete and submit daily logs summarizing project progress and updates
• Ensure company equipment and machinery is being used properly and maintained properly
• Participate in a weekly production meeting to discuss project updates and project needs with other team members

Qualifications

• Minimum experience of 2 years in a commercial landscape or construction environment.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans
• Extensive knowledge of landscape best practices and live material characteristics
• Extensive knowledge of irrigation systems
• Ability to lead a team and work with others
• Basic technology skills
• Clean Driving Record
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
