The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for providing improvement solutions for the facility's production tooling, equipment, and procedures to ensure efficient operations. This "hands-on" position requires spending the majority of time on the manufacturing floor and must be able to take projects from conception to completion.
\n - Programming for all production processing needs.
\n - Preparing jobs to be released for production. Familiarity with Amada VPSS BLANK 4ie software is a plus.
\n - Creates product assembly work instructions and manufacturing equipment processing instructions.
\n - Maintains a program database and detailed records on all CNC machines. (Amada Turret Punch, Laser, Punch/Laser Combo)
\n - Uses engineering drawings to program machinery for engineered items.
\n - Troubleshoots problems with failed products, products, or systems.
\n - Participates in the resolution of quality issues and drive associated improvements.
\n - Identifies and plans manufacturing assembly and test workflow layout.
\n - Works with Quality Manager to ensure and maintain compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management (EMS), and Occupational Health & Safety Association (OSHA)
\n - Continuously assesses opportunities for improvement and any needed changes to management systems.
\n - Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs.
\n - Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors.
\n - Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
\n - Ensures product and process quality by designing testing methods.
\n - Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
\n - Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
\n - Maintains product and process database by writing computer programs and entering data.
\n - Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
\n - Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.

Job Requirements:
\n - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or 5-10 years of manufacturing experience in a related field.
\n - Three to five years of 'Solidworks or Inventor' experience as well as:
\n - CAD and 2D drafting experience.
\n - Machine Code experience.
\n - CNC and Automation experience. (Amada AP100US or similar software)
\n - ISO 9001 experience with process documentation and system audits
\n - Relevant industry experience in the manufacturing environment.
