Job Description

A busy and friendly dermatology practice is looking for an enthusiastic Medical Assistant / Scribe.

Classification : Hourly

Pay Range:  Starting at $ 30.00, Pay based on experience and proficiency

Department:  Frisco Office                   

Reports to:  Frisco Office Manager

Medical Assistant/Scribe/ Triage Job Duties: Typical duties as required in a medical office environment.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements/Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s of science or biology will be highly considered.
• Medical Assistant Diploma or Certified Nursing Assistant diploma preferred.
• At least one year of patient care experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Must be proficient with verbal and written communication.
• Must be reliable and able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Excellent multi-tasking skills and flexibility.
• Experience with EMR (electronic medical records) preferred.

Competency:

• EMR, iPad, computer knowledge preferred.
• Proficient with written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Compliant with HIPAA and OSHA.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional medical environment.  This role routinely uses standard office and medical equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, fax machines, ultrasonic, and autoclave.

Physical Demands:

This is an active role.  This job requires walking or standing for long periods of time.  Some bending and lifting may be necessary.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time 32-40 hour/week position.  Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.; Saturday 7:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. if any

Travel:

To other office locations as required
