Middle School Mathematics Teacher Responsibilities & Duties

• Prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in mathematics
• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum objectives
• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
• Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities
• Observe and evaluate students’ performance and development
• Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development opportunities
• Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and needs
• Keep up to date with developments in mathematics curriculum and teaching methods

Middle School Mathematics Teacher) Qualifications & Skills

• Master's degree in Mathematics or Education
• Previous experience teaching middle school mathematics
• Strong knowledge of middle school mathematics curriculum standards
• Experience with technology-enhanced teaching methods
• Ability to design and implement effective differentiated instruction
• Strong classroom management skills
• Commitment to continuous professional development
• Experience with online learning platforms
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators
• State teaching certification/licensure in Mathematics for middle school
• Proven experience as a Mathematics Teacher or relevant teaching role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in using educational software and technology
• Ability to build relationships effectively and professionally with students, parents, and staff
