Job Description

St. Anne Catholic Grade School seeks an enthusiastic and highly talented social studies teacher. The successful candidate will teach social studies to students in grades 6-8 and be responsible for homeroom and other duties as assigned by the principal. The candidate should possess a BA/BS degree and state teacher certification.

The successful candidate must also:

- demonstrate effective planning skills by preparing lessons aligned to state standards

- effectively integrate technology into instruction and learning activities

- develop and use multiple forms of assessment and evaluation to ensure student growth

- establish a system of classroom management that promotes self-direction, self-regulation, and a positive self-image

- maintain an active and engaging learning environment

- communicate professionally and effectively with students, parents, faculty, and administration
