Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our client's charter school in Benton Harbor, MI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and a commitment to fostering a love of music in students of all ages. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives through music, creativity, and cultural appreciation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging and comprehensive music curricula for students at various grade levels.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
• Plan and direct school concerts, performances, and other music-related events.
• Assess and evaluate student performance, providing feedback and additional instruction as necessary.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music education into broader school activities and curricula.
• Stay current with developments in music education and integrate new teaching methods and materials as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher required; a major in Music or Music Education is highly preferred.
• Certification: Candidates must be certified to teach in Michigan or willing to pursue certification upon hiring.
• Strong knowledge of music theory, history, and performance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and engage students with diverse learning needs and backgrounds.
• Previous teaching experience is a plus but not required.
