Geisinger ConvenientCare urgent care is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care teams in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania. Our clinicians diagnose and treat common medical problems including sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, urinary tract infections and more. Routine health exams, immunizations, screenings, and wellness services are also provided. ConvenientCare offers a $10k recruitment incentive for new hires, an attractive schedule with office hours Monday - Friday 8:45 am – 8:15 pm, Saturday & Sunday 7:45 am – 6:15 pm, 14 rotating shifts/month, work every other weekend, no overnight shifts, no mandated additional shifts, call approximately six nights per year with no direct patient call, six observed holidays, autonomous work with limited administrative burden, access to Geisinger’s network of resources and specialists, and scrub business attire. Competitive compensation package & benefits include a robust 401(k) retirement plan, 80 CME hours and $3,000 CME funds, relocation, and more. Academic opportunities are available via advanced practice preceptorship. Experience required includes the ability to treat patients from age one and older with a minimum of six months advanced practitioner experience in primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care, or critical care. Education required is a Master's Degree-Physician Assistant. Certifications required include Basic Life Support Certification, Certified Nurse Practitioner, and Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania). Skills needed include care management knowledge, clinical policies and standards, health information documentation, patient assessment and care, patient safety, and patients rights.
