Job Description

This role is for an Operating Room Nurse responsible for providing skilled nursing care within the operating room environment. The Registered Nurse will perform a variety of tasks related to patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, collaborating closely with the surgical team. A minimum of two years of experience is required.

Responsibilities:

- Providing pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care to surgical patients.
- Preparing the operating room and ensuring it is properly equipped for surgical procedures.
- Assisting the surgical team during procedures.
- Monitoring patient vital signs and administering medications as ordered.
- Documenting patient care and observations accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborating with other members of the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other nurses.
- Maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room.
- Managing patient supplies and equipment.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives.
